Buhari Is Back

After a 7 week absence, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari returned on the 10th of March, 2017 Dressed in a dark kaftan, cap and glasses, Buhari walked spritely and unaided. News of the return saw the stock exchange of Africa’s largest economy hit a one month high. President Buhari needs more rest and says his deputy Prof.Yemi Osibanjo will continue to act as President.


Amnesty for Boko Haram

The Executive Director of the Civil Rights Congress, Shehu Sanni, has labelled the actions of the Joint Task Force in Nigeria’s North East, as genocide. Sanni also claims that the 26 man committee on Amnesty for Boko Haram will not succeed in quelling the insurrection. Speaking in Abuja he complained that his proposal to the government, was cast aside without explanation. CCTV’s Chima Nwankwo reports.
